You have an opportunity throughout a child’s life to spark his or her creativity and to say over and over again to every child: “You have amazing potential to create because you were created in the image of an amazing creator.”

Here’s how we define creativity—imagining what you could do because you are made in God’s image.

So while I’m not the best painter, I can be cool with that because God made me a great dancer and singer and communicator. The same goes for you and the kids in your life. When your imagination leads you to do something good, you are being creative too.

We want to spark creativity this month by reminding every child how the story of God started. In the book of Genesis, it clearly teaches that everyone is made in the image of God. So, follow the logic: God is creative.

God created everyone in His image. So, everyone has the potential to be creative. For the month of June, we’re taking a closer look at the first three chapters of Genesis to discover a little bit more about how God made us.
