UNIQUENESS

You know, no matter how hard I try, there are just some things I’m not uniquely wired to do.
This summer we’ve been helping kids understand what it means to be created in the image of God.
It’s God’s image in us that gives us the capacity to see beyond the ordinary and to understand a
dimension of life that no other animal or plant or mountain can experience. We’re different than
every other species because we are made in God’s image. Our creativity and imagination is a
reflection of His image.
But it’s not just our creativity that expresses how we’re created in the image of God. We are
wonderfully made, but we’re also uniquely wired. Our creativity and uniqueness go hand in hand,
which is why we’re continuing our summer series on the image of God by looking closer at what the
Bible has to say about uniqueness.
We define uniqueness like this: discovering who God made you to be so you can make a difference.
