{Nursery-Kindergarten} April 2011

Hello Leaders!

In our Nursery through Kindergarten environment it is our goal to make a FIRST IMPRESSION of the Heavenly Father, in such a way that it makes a LASTING IMPRESSION on the heart of a child. And we do this by teaching one of the 3 Basic Truths:
  • God Loves Me
  • God Made Me
  • Jesus Wants to be my friend forever
It's a new month and that means we have a NEW Basic Truth we are communicating to the kids this month.

This month (April 2011) our Basic Truth is:

{Elementary} March:: Week 2

Hey Small Group Leaders!

Heads up Rick and I want to have all of you over our house for lunch/dinner soon so keep and eye out for an official date and time!  We live in Brooklyn (not too far) so we'll work out some carpooling options for those with out transportation.  It's gonna be fun so clear your calendars! :)

The Golden Idol
Ok so here's the curriculum for your kids this week. Read through it and let me know if there is something you don't understand.  I'm not going to go in depth this Sunday on how to do each activity, as I usually do.  So be sure you know what you're going to do and what you are going to say to your small group this week.

Bottom Line:
Remember God is with you when you do the right thing.

Bible Story:
The Heat Is On (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) • Daniel 3
The Fiery Furnace
I'll see you guys Sunday as we meet together at 9:15am and 11:15am respectively.

{Nursery-Preschool} A Big Thank You!

A BIG THANK YOU!
I just want to send a big thank you to all those who were able to attend the training that we did for the Nursery and the one we did for the Little Lambs and Preschool this past weekend! I am excited about the new curriculum and all that the children will learn. Like we mentioned, it is a work in progress and as you process the material and consider for yourself how you would like to participate, we hope that you will join us in prayer. As you can see there are a lot of things that we have to prepare in order to get to our goal but I believe that God is in this and that he will provide for the things that we need. I've been so blessed by all of you and want to thank you for your dedication and support.

Here's the link to the First Look curriculum: http://whatisorange.org/firstlook/
If you would like a PDF copy of the curriculum we previewed, please contact me by email and I will send it to you.

Spring Cleaning?
Lastly, many have expressed interest in volunteering to help with a spring cleaning event. I have created a document to figure out what time will work best. Please don't feel like you have to come but for those who were interested, please let me know what works for you. Click here: http://www.doodle.com/hgpixf6h67zsnx9u (select the time that you most prefer)

March-May Schedules are up!
I have also posted the schedule in each of the classrooms for Mar-May. Please take a look at it either online or in hard copy in the classroom. Earlier notice is always better if you know that you are out of town or won't be able to make it. I will also be sending out contact lists so that volunteers can contact others for a replacement.

Thanks again and have a blessed week!
