April Teaching Summary:
This material walks children through John 3:16 and communicates in
kid-friendly terms what it takes to put their faith and trust in Jesus
as their Savior. It challenges kids to take the next steps in their
faith by explaining baptism and the importance of sharing their faith
with others.
For week one, we kick off the month by taking a closer look at our memory verse: John 3:16. It says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV)
In week one- kids learn more about the first part of our memory verse. And we talk about how because God Loved, God Gave. Bottom Line: God loved us so much that he gave us Jesus.
In week two, we will take a look at the second part of John 3:16 "whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Bottom Line into action: When we believe, we receive a relationship with God forever.
For week three, we'll take a look at 2 Corinthians 5:17 and talk about baptism. Bottom Line: We need to show others that we believe in Jesus.
In week four, we'll explore Matthew 5: 14-16 and discover what the Bible has to say about us being Salt & Light.
Bottom Line: We can shine so that others can know God.
